Shadegg decries Obama health care reform plans
I received the following letter on Wednesday, June 10, 2009:

To: My Constituents in the Arizona 3rd Congressional District,
The opportunities for freedom and choice in your healthcare decisions are being ripped away by President Obama and Nancy Pelosi's reckless march toward socialized health care for our nation. You should be able to pick your plan and your doctor, and you should make the important decisions about your health care. One of President Obama's hand picked appointees shouldn't be making these decisions - you should.
I would urge you to speak up now, before it is too late. Talk to your family, your friends, your business associates. Tell them about the real dangers of government run, government controlled health care.
The following article provided a brief synopsis of my comments on the critical health care reform debate raging in Washington.

Proposals backed by Obama and congressional Dems could "completely destroy" the American health care system, Shadegg says. He is the prime sponsor of the Healthcare Choice Act. "I really think the health care issue is the single most important issue facing the nation right now," Shadegg told NewsMax. "Americans need to understand that the reforms being proposed by Democrats in Washington and by President Obama on health care hold the potential to completely destroy what is great about the American health care system. And that is choice and individual control," said Shadegg, who added the American people don't want government-run health care and rationing.
He concluded it will take compromise to reach a satisfactory health care reform package. It "depends on the willingness of the president and congressional Democrats to compromise. Right now they're basically saying it's their way or the highway. They want to put in place a government plan, and that government plan will cause the private insurance market to wither and go away very, very quickly. If they don't give up that demand, I don't see how we can come to a compromise."
I urge all my family and friends to contact your U.S. Representative and Senator. There are "Links" in left column of this page for that purpose.
Express your opposition to this plan of Obama and Nancy Pelosi.
Otherwise if it is approved and becomes law it the first step toward socialized medicine in the United States. That means some bureaucrat will determine what doctors you can see and what treatments he'll let you be entitled too.
