University of Washington Tops Florida to Become
New NCAA Women's World Series Softball Champs

The Championship was determined by a three games series. With the team winning two games first becoming the 2009 champion. That team was the University of Washington and it was a gutsy performance with Washington winning 3-2. The second straight victory over a Florida team that had lost only 4 games in a spectacular season before losing the first game monday night 8-0, when Danielle Laurie (41-8) recorded the win for the Huskies (50-12), striking out 12, walking three and allowing two Gator hits.
CONGRADULATIONS HUSKIES!
