This is a personal web site where I exercise my first amendment rights of free speech. Here, I express my independent viewpoint on a variety of topics. On this site I'm a majority of one.
On Friday, April 24, 2009 I wrote the following letter and faxed it to:
The Directory of Homeland Security (DHS), 25 members of the United States House of Representatives, U.S. Senate, the Vice-President and
The President of the United States.

Americans are not the enemy--terrorists are.
I am outraged that DHS would brazenly classify me as a right-wing extremist because I stand for the very principles that made this country great-individual liberty, free markets, and a limited government. Under the Department of Homeland Security classifications the likes of George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, and James Madison would be labeled right-wing extremists. That's the first four Presidents of the United States.
This puts me in honorable company!
I am a retired Chief Hospital Corpsman of the United States Navy. I served 20 years on active duty, including two tours of duty in-country in Vietnam. I consider myself to be an American patriot not a right wing extremist.
Your report is not an intelligence report, but rather a diatribe against those who oppose the policies of the Obama Administration. It is a declaration of war against the American people and our Constitution. A Constitution all of you took an oath to uphold and defend not destroy. As a matter of fact the President took it twice, just so he'd get it right. The report is a prelude to extreme gun control legislation and hate speech laws targeting Christians, churches, and others who oppose abortion, same-sex marriage, and a big federal government.
I denounce these stereotypes, especially the stereotypes about our military veterans. These men and women served our country, most of them heroically. They come home wounded in mind and body to have their to their name defamed. Your conduct Madam Secretary is reprehensible. I condemn this report and demand that each and every one of the officials responsible publicly explain how and why they wrote and released such a controversial report identifying tax-paying American patriots as enemies of state.
I would suggest to Ms Janet Napalotino that the 500,000 ILLEGAL immigrants in Arizona are more of a threat to this nation than American war veterans. Secure the border between the United States and Mexico. Not all of them are picking tomatoes, lettuce, etc.. Not all of them are doing jobs Americans won't do. A very large number of them commit crimes against our citizens. Breaking into their homes. Stealing their vehicles. Killing police officers doing their duty. Your know like gang members such as MS-13, the Mexican Mafia, and others. Kidnapping, rape, murder, and drugs these are our real enemies. Not American War Veterans. DO YOUR DUTY Madam Secretary as well as Americans' War Veterans and this nation will be a lot safer. Better yet resign your appointed office and let the President appoint someone who will enforce the law instead of turning a blind eye to it.

Personally I think Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Arizona would be an excellent choice to replace you.
Just for the record. Politically I am neither a democrat nor a republican. I'm a registered Independent. A tax-paying citizen and voter.
I also signed a petition drafted by GRASSFIRE.ORG demanding the resignation of the Director of Homeland Security, Janet Napalotino.
